About
I received a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), a M.Sc. in Computer Science, in the area of Computational Mathematics, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), a P.G.Dipl. in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation, in the area of Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics, also from UFRGS, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics, in the specialty of Numerical Computing and Analysis, from the University of Madeira (UMa), Portugal.
My academic interests include computational and applied mathematics, computational intelligence, radar remote sensing, hydrology, fluvial and torrential hydraulics, maritime hydraulics, and physical oceanography.
My main non-academic interests are in photography and filmmaking.
